Richard Tamassy - An Art Memorial
June 21 Summer Solstice Day! It is a day to remember for the arts and Richard - to give his life purpose and meaning. Gothic Solstice was inspired by my redesign of artistrun.org, the website that Lycia, Richard and I started back in 2001. Richard was a great supporter of the arts and wanted to be a hero.
After my father's death and job loss in 2000, he coordinated a contract with the security company he worked for. I will forever be grateful for his acts of kindness. And with this Art Memorial, it would give new meaning to his life and contributions. Liza Lee
I will remember Richard as full of life, firstly because he was a
striking person in stature and had charisma. His wit, charm and
intelligence that flashed through his blue eyes was automatically
apparent!
Richard was a creative visionary. He was using his creativity in the
advertising and security fields when I knew him in 2001.
One of the special moments when he especially
touched me was his support during a time of grief.
Richard's death, thus, is a call to me for re-calling publicly that mental health issues are not private, individual problems. We should help one another with community spirit and practical solutions. Dr. Lycia D. Trouton, Linen Memorial
